Meet the Team
Lisa Maino: Founder/Director
With almost three decades of experience in the commercial and financial sectors, Lisa is a trusted legal expert dedicated to acting as a strategic advisor to clients and navigating the complexities of commercial and financial transactions. As the Director of Maino-Stöger Incorporated, she specialises in commercial transactions, consumer credit law, and privacy law. Her work in the area of consumer credit law has shaped legislative frameworks across Africa, having collaborated with global institutions such as the World Bank, IFC, and Finmark Trust. With an LLM in Corporate Law and an MBA, Lisa combines legal awareness with business strategy to provide comprehensive, forward-thinking solutions.
Courtney Scholfield: Senior Associate
Courtney is a Senior Associate at Maino Stöger Incorporated, specialising in commercial law and information technology law (with a specific focus on contact centre solutions and services). As a cum laude LLB graduate from the University of Johannesburg, Courtney was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 2021. With her extensive experience, Courtney provides strategic advice and guidance that enables clients to successfully navigate complex commercial transactions (including M&A transactions). Courtney joined Maino Stöger Incorporated in 2019 and has worked on a number of different large commercial transactions, bringing practical insight and collaborative expertise to the table. She is dedicated to delivering strategic and legal solutions that strike a balance between legal protection and commercial viability.
Britney Human: Associate
Britney obtained her LLB degree from the University of Pretoria in 2018, where she was a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and featured on the Dean’s Merit List. She was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 2021 and has since developed a strong passion for corporate and commercial law. With experience in corporate re-structuring and complex commercial transactions, Britney brings a meticulous and solution-driven approach to her work. As an Associate at Maino Stöger Incorporated, she continues to expand her expertise in drafting intricate agreements, consumer credit law, product structuring and corporate governance.
Talia Pritchard: Candidate Attorney
Talia Pritchard graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2024, after completing her BA Law, followed by her LLB degree. Talia joined our team as a candidate attorney in 2024, eager to fully immerse herself in the world of corporate and commercial law. Talia keenly assists the team in drafting and reviewing contracts, contributing to corporate governance, conducting legal research and preparing legal opinions as well as engaging with clients and supporting in legal matters.
